Prior to GRASP, Soft Agency will facilitate workshops at Roskilde Festival Højskole with the aim of researching, writing, designing and constructing a ‘soft manifesto of our time’.
‘The soft manifesto’ is a collaborative process of weaving language into space, translating the concept of word-based communication into materials-based spatial language, letting it unfold as a large-scale weaved spatial installation at Roskilde Festival Højskole, focusing on the themes of softness and care.
At GRASP, Soft Agency and Roskilde Festival Højskole will present the outcome of these workshops, which is a reformulation of a preconstructed pavilion grid and a reader created during this process.
About Soft Agency
Soft Agency are a Berlin-based group of female architects, artists, curators, scholars and writers from different countries working with spatial practices.
The core interests of Soft Agency revolve around experimentation with situated feminist methodologies and multispecies approaches, employed to investigate and create spaces and commons. In their practice this translates into the implementation of care, softness and attentiveness as research strategies, listening and being together as pedagogies, and community-driven counter-hegemonic urban practices as objectives.
